7 Days Aberdares Nakuru ,Naivasha and Amboseli
This trip encompasses travelling to the Aberdare National Park, The Samburu National Reserve, then to the beautiful Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its flamingoes and the endangered black rhino before heading to the world cup of wildlife that is the Maasai Mara. You shall have the company of a very knowledgeable driver guide.
Day 1 :
NAIROBI - ABERDARES
Pick up from hotel/airport in the morning and depart Nairobi to Aberdares arriving in time for lunch. This attractive park sits on the side of a hill and enjoys great views of Mt. Kenya. After lunch you will be transferred to the Ark Tree lodge.
The Ark Tree Lodge is built in the shape of Noah’s biblical ark and this is where you spend the night enjoying the wildlife that comes to drink and eat the salt by the floodlit watering hole. The Ark overlooks floodlit water holes visited regularly by buffalo, elephant, warthog, bush pig, a variety of antelope and occasionally lion and other large animals. The evening is spent on the open air verandas or in the public areas, watching the animals and birds as they come to drink. Dinner is served in the dining room. In case one would like to get a wakeup call at night when a particular animal, such as rhino, Lion etc visits the water hole that can be done.

Day 2 :
ABERDARES – LAKE NAKURU
Early morning breakfast then leave Aberdare National Park for Lake Nakuru. Arrive in time for lunch and check in at Nakuru Sopa Lodge. Afternoon game drive across the Pink Lake often referred so due to its Great masses of Flamingos but due to high level of water and climate change, only few flamingos can be spotted. Look out for other wild animals like warthogs, waterbuck, not forgetting the famous white Rhino and black rhino.

Day 3 :
NAKURU – MAASAI MARA
After an early breakfast, you will depart Lake Nakuru for Maasai Mara. You will pass through Narok town the famous Masai town. Arrive in time for lunch. Check in at Maasai Mara Sopa Lodge and have lunch. Afternoon game drive through the park there is an excellent chance of seeing the Big 5, cheetah, serval, hyena, bat-eared foxes, black-backed and side-striped jackals, hippo, crocodile, baboons, warthog, topi, eland, Thompson’s gazelle, Grant’s gazelle, impala, waterbuck, oribi, reed-buck and zebra. During the migration (July to November) huge numbers of wildebeest move in. Returning from your first foray into Masai Mara you will have dinner and relax under the stars, falling asleep to the sounds of the bush.

Day 4 :
MAASAI MARA FULL DAY
After breakfast you will proceed for a full day game drive in this finest reserve. The game drives take you in search of Africa’s Big Five and the plethora of other wildlife inhabiting this game reserve. On clear days, the Mara offers fantastic orange tinged sunset’s well-worth capturing on camera. Wherever you go in the vast Masai Mara you will see a frequent amount of wildlife such as the Masai giraffe, Baboons, Warthogs, the bat eared foxes, the grey jackals, the spotted hyena, Topis, Impala, Hartebeests, wildebeest. The Savannah Elephants, the African cape buffaloes, Zebras and Hippos are also found in great numbers. It is also common to see Black manned lions either basking after a heavy meal, or surveying the plains for their next meal. Leopards are usually nocturnal, but reasonably common. You will also be taken for a cultural visit to a maasai village. Back to the lodge in the evening.

Day 5 :
MAASAI MARA – LAKE NAIVASHA
Depart from Maasai Mara after an early breakfast and drive towards Lake Naivasha where you will arrive in time for lunch. After which you will head out to Naivasha to discover its best kept secret; the Crescent Island. This wondrous island is in Lake Naivasha which is a beautiful freshwater lake fringed by thick papyrus and its surroundings are rich in natural bounty abound in bird life such as fish eagles, ospreys, lily trotters, a variety of herons and over 200 more species. You will enjoy a boat ride on the glittering lake Naivasha and view the herds of hippos and various water birds found within the lake on your way to the island. At the island you get a chance to be up close to the array of wildlife such as giraffes, waterbucks, elands, wildebeest, zebras, impalas and the elusive colobus monkey. The sanctuary does not contain any predators, so it is perfectly safe to do the walk with the appointed guide.

Day 6 :
Lake Naivasha – Amboseli
Early morning breakfast then leave Lake Naivasha for Amboseli National Park. Arrive in time for lunch. After lunch enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive in search of the free range tusked elephants, wildebeest, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, Masai giraffe among other animals. Here you will also get to enjoy the breath-taking photogenic view of Mount Kilimanjaro; weather permitting. Return to the camp in the evening.

Day 7 :
Amboseli – Nairobi
Early morning breakfast then leave Amboseli and drive to Nairobi. A less than 5 hours’ drive. You will arrive Nairobi in time for lunch. Lunch will be on own account. After this you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport ready for homebound flight.
