Day 3 to 5 :

MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

On the third day you will proceed for a full day tour game viewing in Kenyas finest wildlife reserve. The game drives take you in search of Africa’s big five and the plethora of wildlife inhabiting this vast territory. On clear days, the Mara offers a phenomenal orange tinged sunset well-worth capturing on camera. Wherever you go within the Mara you will see a frequent amount of both birdlife and wildlife for instance Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impalas, hartebeests and wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos are found in large numbers. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal or surveying the plains for their next one. Within these three days you will get a chance to visit an authentic Masai village as a break from your morning and afternoon game drives.

Day 6 :

MAASAI MARA TO LAKE NAKURU

Depart from Masai Mara after an early beakfast and head to Lake Nakuru. Arrive in time for lunch at the hotel. After a short period of relaxation you proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park popularly known as a bird watchers paradise. Millions of flamindoes are found on the lake giving it a pink hue. It is likewise home to the endangered black rhino, big cats and other wildlife.

Day 7 :

LAKE NAKURU-SAMBURU

After Breakfast leave for Samburu National Park arriving in time lunch. After lunch proceed for an afternoon Game drive.

Samburu National Reserve is situated on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River in Kenya. This means plenty of water, trees and shade to attract wildlife like the elephant, lion, leopard giraffe and zebra from the surrounding savannah plains. Cheetahs are also regularly spotted.

Day 8 and 9 :

FULL DAY SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE

Have full day game drives in this wild and rugged piece of heaven. Samburu is fiercely beautiful with its arid savannahs watered by the lovely Ewaso Nyiro River. It is also one of Kenya’s most protected parks and is home to species only native to the north of the equator, from the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, beisa oryxes, gerenuk gazelle to the greater and lesser kudu.

Day 10 :

SAMBURU TO MOUNT KENYA NATIONAL PARK

Depart Samburu early in the morning and proceed to Mount Kenya National Park. Mount Kenya is Africa’s second highest mountain and is a world heritage site. It is a pristine wilderness with lakes, tarns, glaciers, dense forests, mineral springs and a selection of rare and endangered species of animals such as the tree hyrax, the white tailed mongoose, black fronted duiker, molerat, bushbucks and eland. You will arrive in time for lunch and afterwards the rest of the afternoon will be spent at leisure while watching the animals come to have a drink at the waterhole. Nature walks in the rainforest can be arranged at an extra cost.

Day 11 :

MOUNT KENYA NATIONAL PARK TO MERU NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast you will depart from Mount Kenya and drive to Meru National Park where you will arrive in time to have your lunch and relax and get acquainted with your new surroundings. After that brief period of relaxation you will then embark on an evening game drive within the park.

Day 12 and 13 :

MERU NATIONAL PARK

In these two days you will have morning and afternoon game drives within the park. Meru wildlife includes large herds of Buffalo, Bushbuck, Duiker, Eland, Elephant, Gazelle, Genet, Giraffe, Hartebeest, Impala, Kudu, Waterbuck and Grevy Zebra.

Expect to see Baboons, Hyena, Jackal, Kudu, Lion, Mongoose, Oryx, Oribi, Vervet, Monkeys and Warthogs, Bushpig, Porcupine, Black and White Rhino. The rivers are abound in Hippo and Crocodile. Bird life includes Peter’s fin foot which inhabits the Murera and Ura Rivers, the Pel’s fishing Owl, Kingfishers, Rollers, Bee-eaters, Starlings and numerous weavers.

Day 14 :

DEPARTURE

Depart from the park after having breakfast and checking out of your hotel and drive at a leisurely pace back to Nairobi with lunch en-route. You will arrive in the afternoon and be dropped off at the airport in time for your home bound international flight.
