Description

Enkorok Mara Camp – Peaceful Riverside Budget Tented Camp in Siana Conservancy

Enkorok Mara Camp is a budget-friendly, affordable safari-tented camp set on 30 acres of private land in the Masai Mara Siana Conservancy. The camp overlooks the scenic Oloolotikoshi Hills and is ideally positioned on the banks of the Oloirigynyisho River where zebras, wildebeests, elephants and other wildlife regularly come to drink water. It is located about 2.5 km from the Ololaimutia Gate of the Masai Mara National Reserve, just a six-minute drive from the park entrance.

The camp can be reached by road, about 4.5 hours’ drive (250 km) from Nairobi, or by a 1-hour flight from Wilson Airport to Keekorok Airstrip, followed by a road transfer to the camp. Its location provides easy access to excellent game viewing areas while offering a peaceful and uncrowded atmosphere for your safari adventure.

Accommodation – Spacious Tents with En-Suite Bathrooms and Private Verandas

The camp features 21 to 26 permanent, spacious and comfortable tents, including 2 family tents, tastefully decorated with African-inspired decor and modern facilities. Nineteen tents are positioned along the riverbank, while three are elevated on raised platforms offering expansive views of the surrounding landscape.

All tents have comfortable king, queen or double beds with mosquito nets for a peaceful night’s sleep. They feature en-suite bathrooms with flush toilets, washbasins and hot showers, ensuring a comfortable and refreshing stay after a long day on safari. Each tent has its own private veranda where guests can sit back with safari chairs and enjoy the views of the Oloolotikoshi Hills or watch wildlife wander past.

Additional in‑tent amenities include a writing desk, wardrobe, laundry bag, basic toiletries, and a safe inside the washroom. Solar‑powered lighting and charging facilities are provided, along with daily housekeeping and laundry service.

Dining – Delicious Buffet Meals and a Riverside Dining Experience

Enkorok Mara Camp boasts the Tamu Tamu Restaurant, a Swahili name meaning “delicious”, where professional chefs prepare a variety of local Kenyan cuisine and international dishes. The restaurant is designed in the style of a traditional African hut, providing a warm and authentic atmosphere for enjoying breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Meals are served buffet style, and special dietary requirements can be accommodated with advance notice. A cocktail bar is available, serving a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including signature cocktails. For those who wish to enhance their safari adventure, the camp can arrange special bush dining experiences such as bush breakfasts, bush lunches, sundowner cocktails on the savannah, or starlit bush dinners deep in the wilderness.
