Honest Pricing for the Endless Plains

At Mara Triangle Safaris we specialise in both Kenya and Tanzania. The Serengeti is larger, more remote and generally a little more expensive than the Maasai Mara because of higher park fees, longer logistics and fewer budget options.

Below are realistic 2026 estimated ranges (per person sharing). Final prices depend on season, group size, accommodation level and whether you fly or drive.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the Serengeti safari price? +
Most packages include accommodation, all meals, park entry fees, concession fees (if staying inside the park), game drives, professional guide and transport (road or flight as stated). Tips, balloon safaris, drinks and personal items are usually extra unless the package is all-inclusive.
How much are Serengeti park fees in 2026? +
Non-resident adult entry is approximately USD 83 per person per 24 hours (including VAT). Children 5–15 pay about USD 24. Concession fees apply if you stay overnight inside the park. These fees are included in our package prices.
Is the Serengeti more expensive than the Maasai Mara? +
Generally yes. Higher park fees, longer distances, fewer budget camps and more complex logistics mean Serengeti safaris usually cost more than equivalent Maasai Mara trips. Fly-in options help reduce travel time but add to the price.
When is the best (and cheapest) time to visit the Serengeti? +
Peak season (June–October) is best for river crossings but also the most expensive and busiest. January–March is excellent for calving in the south and offers good value. April–May is the green season with the lowest rates and fewer visitors.
Can I combine Serengeti with Ngorongoro or Kenya? +
Yes – this is one of our most popular requests. Classic combinations include Serengeti + Ngorongoro Crater, or the cross-border Great Migration route (Maasai Mara → Serengeti). We handle all logistics and border formalities.
